Vacationing in Park City has become synonymous with luxury. This Utah city boasts designer shops and art galleries along its quaint streets, plenty of fine dining restaurants, and some of the best skiing resorts in the country.
It’s not surprising, considering that every January this is where the Hollywood A-listers come to let their hair down for the famous annual Sundance Film Festival.
Park City was founded when silver was discovered in its mines in 1869 and by the turn of the century it had become a booming mine town with more than 10,000 residents. Today there are more tourists than residents in Park City. A census revealed that just over 7,000 people called Park City home in 2000, which gives the area a charming small-town feel; perfect for vacationers who want to escape the stresses of big city life.
Park City gained global exposure when it hosted the winter Olympic Games in 2002, and tourists now visit the area from all around the world, resulting in a sophisticated, cosmopolitan vibe. Although the average high is just -3°C in January, Park City doubles as a summer resort too, with temperatures reaching 26°C during July and August.
With a golf course, racquet club, beautiful parks, and miles of trails in the mountains, there is plenty to keep visitors – movie stars or not - entertained during the summer too. The Egyptian Theater Company located in the heart of Historic Main Street performs Broadway musicals, plays, and dance shows year round.
Our Park City luxury rentals are truly the best way to enjoy this glamorous destination.
