Fine dining at the Seaside Restaurant is available right across the street. Historic downtown Hilo, with more restaurants, shops, museums, theaters, and entertainment, is just four miles away. Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is 31 miles southwest. Major improvements to Saddle Road have drastically reduced the drive time between the east and west sides of the island, making crossisland day trips very reasonable.
